6. It will not be made from aluminium
The Weibo post claims iPhone 7 will move away from the familiar all-aluminum chassis, a design first introduced in 2012 with iPhone 5. An all-aluminum construction negatively impacted structural integrity. Some iPhone 6 Plus owners complained that their new smartphones were easily bent under normal use, prompting Apple to shift to more durable 7000 series aluminum in the latest iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

7. It is very thin
The new iPhone is expected to be between 6mm – 6.5mm thick – making it the thinnest iPhone yet. KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo has issued a new report, saying that the iPhone 7 will be somewhere between 6mm and 6.5mm when it is released late next year. That would shave from 0.6mm to 0.9mm off of the thickness of the iPhone 6s.
This would make the iPhone 7 almost the same thickness of the current iPod touch at 6.1mm. As a comparison, the current model of the iPhone 6 Plus is 7.1mm.

8. It doesn’t have a physical home button
The home button – the mainstay of the iPhone since it’s initial release – could be on it’s way out. Instead the fingerprint sensor would be built in to the screen itself.
‘A source who in the past has correctly shared information about Apple’s future product plans indicated on Monday that Apple is indeed planning on removing the home button from future iPhone hardware,’ AppleInsider said.

9. It is likely to have Intel chips inside
A team of 1,000 employees are working on the 7360 LTE modem chip for the next generation iPhone, VentureBeat reported. Intel may end up providing both the modem and the fabrication for a new Apple system on a chip.
VentureBeat’s sources don’t believe Apple has officially signed Intel as a supplier of the modem chip, but a deal will happen if Intel continues to hit its project milestones.

The iPhone 8 is expected to be released in September 2017
